A Big Lab and a Little Lab

Keeway, my 85 pound, 6 year old tough guy has become quite fond of the little Lab puppy that's staying with us. While he still won't put up with early morning playtime "hey little dude, I'm sleeping here!" (he's not a morning dog) he has been very affectionate and playful with the pup. I could be wrong, but I think Labradors recognize other Labradors. He lets the pup play puppy games, chew on his ears and play rough and tumble with him - which he usually doesn't do with other puppies. Usually he'll walk away or ignore other pups, but I think he know that this little guy is a Labrador, just like him. And the puppy thinks it's just great, he struts right alongside Keeway at the park with his big buddy and tries to do everything that Keeway does, like picking up gigantic, (as in 7 or 10 foot long) "sticks" and going "bowling for humans" - it's just so cute!
