Puppies and things that go bump in the night

We had a doozie of a thunderstorm roll through at about 4:30 AM. We also had a 7 month old puppy in her crate downstairs. She got scared and started crying, so hubby gets up, growling, "gotta shut the windows" - When he didn't come back to bed, I went downstairs to find out what he was doing. He had a cup of tea and he was gently petting a scared puppy who was sitting on his lap. What a guy!
