A Post from Cheryle

Today it's me Cheyle writing. Ususally I tell the daily stories and Ken does the writing but today I'm insired to write. Yesterday we went to Fresh Pond Reservior with a couple of my regular pack. One of them is a cute, bouncy young black Lab who came up to Maine with us the first time Sampson went up. Samspon decided to dominate the little guy to show him who was boss.

Anyway, today Sampson was my savior. My little Lab is "tennis-ball obsessed." Unfortunately, he doesn't quite have the concept of the game down just yet. He'll run and get the ball, but instead of dropping it, he jumps on me and won't release the ball. I have the bruises to prove it. Thanks to Sampson chasing him around and "dominating" him, he was able to keep the pup from jumping on me. Sampson proved to be a very good puppy-sitter of our unruly pup and I have to say, I was extremely grateful.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do/feel/without him. (there will probably be tears involved)

It's been both an honor and an extraordinary pleasure having Sampson here with us.

Cheers all and Ken says be safe.
