There is a story going around on the internet that Swiffer wet jet floor cleaners contain a compound similar to anti-freeze (ethylene glycol) and that it can be harmful or fatal to dogs.
This is an internet rumor, it is NOT TRUE. We are, of course, tracking any potential dangers to dogs from consumer products. But we do our research (helps that the hubby has an advanced degree in medical and computer science and is an expert in internet stuff)

The Swiffer does not contain ethylene glycol, the potentially toxic ingredient present in most antifreeze products.
So you can Swiffer away - although it's best to let the floors dry before allowing pets or infants on the floor - for a variety of obvious reasons.
Just remember, not everything you hear on the internet is true!
