We had the honor of caring for Sampson while his Mom was on active duty, flying in to Iraq and Afghanistan saving our wounded heros. Sampson went to Rainbow Bridge several months after his Mom returned from a very long period of tough active duty. When I took Sampson out for his early morning walks, I believe I met almost every neighbor I have. For several weeks, Sampson would visit the old folks home down the street, where he made a lot of lonely old people very happy. Something about Sampson was VERY special. People just were attracted to him, they would come up to me and ask about him. Perfect strangers would take one look at Sampson and then come over and start asking questions about him. When I explained WHY I was taking care of Sampson, because his Mom was on active duty treating our wounded heros, EVERY single person I met either said "Say thank you for me" Or "Thank God we have people like that" Or "tell her I'm praying for her."
