Holiday Dog Tales

Thought I would share a funny story about the Christmas Eve at our house a few years ago. We hosted a Christmas Eve holiday get-together for our families. My Mom takes in foreign language students from the local school. They come from just about every country in the world and she usually has 4 to 6 students staying at her house. They come here to learn English and American customs. So as we served the deviled eggs, my Mom (although I pleaded with her to never do this) decided to give Keeway a deviled egg. The foreign students, thinking this was part of a strange American holiday tradition, immediately began handing out deviled eggs to all the other dogs. By the time I came back from the kitchen, they had fed the dogs a whole platter of deviled eggs! Fortunately, eggs are perfectly OK for dogs. In fact, a little bit of egg is good for their coats. It does have one minor side effect though.

The next day, I had six dogs laying on the couch farting their brains out. Even though it was a cold winter day, we had to open the windows! We had a whole day of blue air in our house for Christmas - Jingle farts, Jingle farts....all day long! Oh smelly day! You get the idea.
